SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Information

Dispatch

Apartment 5B orders are processed and dispatched as soon as possible. We aim to dispatch orders within 2-4 business days after purchase. This may take longer during peak sale periods. Weekend and public holiday purchases are processed the next available business days. 

Dispatch of orders may also be delayed when verification or correction of your payment and/or address information is required prior to dispatch. 

Shipping times are additional to the dispatch times stated.

Domestic Shipping 

Reducing fashion's footprint is important to us at Apartment 5B so we have chosen to use Sendle as our carrier. Sendle is Australia's first 100% carbon neutral delivery service and certified B Corporation.

Pricing for domestic shipping is:

  • Flat rate - $10
  • Free domestic shipping for all orders of $150 or more.

For all domestic deliveries a physical street address is required.  Sendle (our carrier) is unable to deliver to Australia Post Owned properties, this includes PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers or parcel collection areas.

As a guide, Sendle endeavours to deliver items within 1-5 business days depending on where you are located.

We recommend customers provide a secure delivery address, for example your place of employment. Apartment 5B is not responsible for lost or stolen parcels.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances (eg: strikes, floods etc).

International Shipping

We offer standard international shipping using Sendle at a flat rate of $35. 

All international deliveries may be received in up to 7- 21 working days depending on the receiving country.

Apartment 5B is not responsible for any import duty or taxes which may be payable on orders purchased through our website. So please check with the Customs Department in your country for more information on customs duties, foreign taxes or other fees which may apply.  Any parcels refused will incur the base shipping fee, plus any re-delivery fees if re-delivery is requested.

Returns Policy 

1. For full price items, we accept returns for a refund or exchange, subject to satisfying each of these conditions:

  • The item is unworn, unwashed, unused and in its original condition with all tags intact and within its original packaging;
  • The original invoice is accompanied with the returned item as proof of purchase;
  • You email us within 7 days of receiving your order; and
  • The item is returned to us within 14 days of receiving your order.

2. All sale items are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange, subject to conditions 11, 12 and 13 below.

3. How to return full price items:
Within 7 days of receiving your order please send your full name, invoice number, the item details and reason you wish to make the return to contact@apartment5b.com.au. Once you have emailed us for a return we will do our best to get back to you within 48 hours of receiving your return request and contact you via phone or email to advise of the outcome. 

4. If your return request is approved, we will ask you to post the item(s) back to us in their original packaging and with the original proof of purchase. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
 
5. Customers are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs to return your item. As Apartment 5B is not liable for the loss or damage to incoming parcels, we recommend sending your item in a suitable box / satchel with a traceable service for your own piece of mind.

6. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange.

7. If you are approved for a refund, then this will be processed and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
 
8. For exchanges, you have 14 days to confirm your replacement item to the same price paid (less shipping). Exchanges are subject to online availability. If you are exchanging for a completely different item, the value of the replacement item is determined by the online listed price at the time your exchange is processed. We cannot apply discounts from past sales / promotions.
 
9. Customers are responsible for paying for shipping costs to have the replacement item/s shipped back to you and the difference between the returned item and the replacement item, if the latter is more expensive. We will send you a money request for this that will need to be paid in order to have your replacement item shipped to you. If the latter is less expensive, a corresponding credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
 
10. If your return is rejected for not satisfying our return conditions, shipping costs of the item back to you are your responsibility. We will send you a money request for this that will need to be paid in order to have your original item shipped to you.
 
11. Our Returns Policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and you have consumer guarantees that cannot be limited by us. If your item is not of acceptable quality, is not fit for its purpose or is materially different from its description, then you may be eligible for a refund, exchange or a drop in value of the product (if you choose to keep it). This excludes intended imperfections of the upcycled or repurposed elements of Apartment 5B items.
 
12. If you have purchased a product with a major fault, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement or refund. If you purchased a product with a minor fault, we can choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement or refund. This excludes intended imperfections of the upcycled or repurposed elements of Apartment 5B items.
 
13. Items returned under consumer guarantees can be returned within a reasonable timeframe subject to proof of purchase.
 
14. Items marked as seconds or samples must be chosen carefully as these items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

15. We are unable to review any worn or used items via email or phone. All items must be physically returned in accordance with the process detailed in returning your purchase.
